TEAR’S IN SAND

Just as another tear drop,
Falls on the sand,
Lost like the others,
Without a smear

Dry gusts blowing dust,
And the merciless sunlight,
Beating down on me,
Like thorns piercing my skin,

Looking back now,
At a life, led in vain,
With no left to love,
And a trail of pain

As I lie there feeling numb,
A smile creases my face,
Knowing its time to let go,
And embrace the darkness

Fear of the unknown,
Now ceases to haunt,
As I close my eyes,
Without any one to bid adieu….
